What We Do
Antiqva Numismatics is a collector's reference devoted to the great coins of history — the pieces that transcend currency and become art. We research each coin's origin, decode its symbolism and inscriptions, profile its engraver, and compile verified mintage and rarity data, all in one place.
Our first major reference covers The Royal Mint's Great Engravers Collection (2019–2026), the landmark series that revived the masterworks of William Wyon, Thomas Simon, Benedetto Pistrucci, and Jean Baptiste Merlen. Further collections and reference guides are in preparation.
Independence
This site is an independent collector resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Royal Mint or any dealer or auction house. Mintage figures are compiled from official Royal Mint publications; historical accounts draw on published numismatic scholarship and museum collections.
We do not sell coins, accept paid placements, or provide valuations. Nothing on this site is investment advice — rarity and prices in the numismatic market change, and past auction results are no guarantee of future value.
Corrections & Contributions
Numismatics is a field of constant rediscovery. If you spot an error, hold documentation that improves on a mintage figure, or have photographs of coins featured here that you are willing to license, please get in touch — corrections are acknowledged.
